A spell of settled sunny weather around the country has been breaking temperature records, NIWA figures show.
In particular, Auckland (Mangere) has experienced its hottest November temperature since records began in 1959 with 26.8°C recorded on Saturday, November 23.
The hottest spot to be in the country this month, however, was Clyde in Central Otago where the maximum temperature hit 30.3°C on November 19.
And around the country a number of centres have recorded temperatures that are well above average for this time of year.
